The Seattle Auto Show is back and keeps getting better. This year I attended the press preview Wednesday morning. Full disclosure: I received a buffet breakfast and camping chair from GM. I'll try not to let that taint my coverage. ;-) The show runs 11/2 through 11/6 if you'd like to see it yourself.
There were a few interesting press conferences that I attended. Henrik Fisker (previously has done design work for BMW and Aston Martin, among others) talked about the Fisker Karma, the technology, and the company. It was very interesting. Here's a short clip from his talk.
General Motors gave a talk too that covered some of their 100 year history, upcoming models and facts and figures about their business. Here's a clip from that.
Ford announced that they're taking orders for the all new Focus Electric. It's noteworthy that they made the announcement here in Seattle, as auto manufacturers don't typically make announcements here. They've partnered with several local companies for the technology, including Microsoft.
Here are photos from the Wednesday morning press preview. Cheers.
