Gallardo LP560 party at Lamborghini Bellevue

There was good music, food, and wine to be had by all who came to the party last Saturday. Lamborghini Bellevue unveiled two beautiful new Gallardo LP560-4 models. They also had some owner Lamborghinis there including a custom Murcielago. Ciao.

Tesla Roadster

On Friday, the 26th, I had the chance to see the Tesla Roadster up close and personal in Redmond, WA. It is a really cool little car. I missed seeing it drive up but people said that it was very quiet. The appearance of the car is pretty similar to a Lotus Elise but with some unique style elements. I was surprised how huge the battery was but I suppose it needs to be. 0 - 60 mph in 3.9 seconds is pretty crazy for an electric car, even if it does set you back a cool 100 grand or so. The 911 Turbo seems to be a formidable car at a not too crazy price, assuming one buys a 2001 model. Here's a lovely example. How reliable are these cars though? Any comments?

Leaner, meaner Lamborghini Murcielago on way?!

According to Car Magazine in the UK, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Superveloce is undergoing testing. Apparently, it will drop the 0 - 60 mph time to a mere 3 seconds, from the already quick 3.4 of the standard LP640. It will also pump out more horsepower and drop about 100 kg (1 kg = 2.2 lbs right?). It sounds like this beauty will live up to its name! Ciao. [image source - carmagazine.co.uk]

Kirkland Concours d'Elegance

Last Sunday, the 7th, was the suave car show at the swanky Carillon Point. There were some amazing cars there. There was everything from a very rare Spanish car made with a mostly beautiful wood body to a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Italian Concours recap

The Italian Concours car show yesterday was pretty cool. There were lots of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and other assorted Italian cars. There were also Italian motorcycles and scooters. An opera singer kept folks entertained and good food was on hand too. I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked too since I had to labor on labor day weekend. Ciao.
